Tenant Rights

In case that you rent a room in any shared property, or a whole property, and the landlord doesn’t live there, you will be classified like a tenant. The greatest benefit of as being a tenant is the fact that you’ll cash more privileges than as being a lodger. The owner is obligated to provide you with a Tenancy Agreement, which gives you full privileges to stay within the property before the end of the contract, or following a notice period.

Unlike lodgers, all tenants have the authority to demand a sufficient notice to leave the home. The owner is needed to provide you with at least two weeks of notice to leave the home, although the tenant just give one month’s notice. In case that the landlord terminates a tenancy but the tenant will not leave, the owner are only able to recover possession through court proceedings.
